wtd retro battery front lamp

I have a dynolight that fits onto fork mounts. there is enough room inside for modern led & battery setup.

I cant imagine any bike either looking good or being very convenient with D-cell plastic lamps.

i know what you are saying, interesting idea to modernisew an old lamp...

is your one for sale? if so may i trouble you for a pic and price?

Which era?
In the 90-ies a Petzl Zoom was quite often used as a bike front light, especially in France. They should still be fairly easy to get (might still be in production) and deliver more power as the usual bikelights from that era.

its for a very very good condition triumph ladies bike. probably early to mid seventies. but not too worried about date corretness as long as it suits the age of the bike

Does it have a front carrier?
If yes you could use the ancient randonneur style of light mounting, a D- or C-cell light mounted to the side of the front carrier. If you use a modern LED version you have the classic looks and the modern batterylifetime and performance. In the old days a D-cell halogene light would be used.
