Hi All,
This is my first post here but I have been lurking for a while!
I have purchased a blue Stumpjumper M2 frame (1999 ish) and wish to build it up to a complimentary but not strictly 'as original' spec. I will have some upgrades such as disk front and improved headset etc but I would like to keep the parts (within reason) to the applicable age.
I would be grateful for any offers of parts excluding what I have already, which is:
Forks (I have a just rebuilt pair of Marzocchi Z4 Bombers)
BB (this is sqaure taper)
Pedals
In so far as spec for parts is concerned I only have the following preference:
V Brake rear (shimano prefered)
Disk brake front (hydralic. era not critical)
Ideally I am looking for 18 or 12 or 6 gears (6x3 or 6x2 or 6x1). I hate these modern bikes with 30 - there really is no need.
Bars - I was thinking I might go carbon to compensate for the extra weight up front (disk brake and fork (are the bomber heavier?))
