As it says in the subject line, really - on the lookout for a wheelset for a still-unfinished build, based around Hope, Mavic, Sachs or similar cartridge bearing hubs with a 135mm OLN rear hub that'll take a Shimano 8sp cassette. Would consider examples requiring TLC that need new bearings, that have the odd snapped spoke or need truing with a spoke key, but not ones with rim flats that can't be got out, or if the freehub mechanism is down the pan (way beyond my workshop skills!). Already got a v. good set of QR skewers so these aren't necessary either. Drop me a line if you're UK-based and have something to suit, can collect in person in the Winchester, Eastleigh, Southampton or Basingstoke areas. Willing to pay sensible prices (within reason) but have had a run-in with one timewaster already this Spring - hence this ad - leaving me somewhat out of pocket for now, so genuine sellers only please.

I've got a set of the original (yellow hubbed) mavic crossride wheels I no longer need. Have not used them since having new rear wheel bearings fitted. I'd be looking for £70 posted. Let me know if you are interested and I'll sort you out some pics. Did I mention they are straight and true, and the front is the lighter than standard version, with fewer radially laced spokes.

Thanks to all who replied, no longer on the lookout however as I've sourced a suitable wheelset.
