I have a spare set of Bontrager Hank 26 x 2.2" full slicks if you want. Great for learning how to ride properly in the winter. They really teach you how to anticipate, drive carefully and how to fall.
In all seriousness, IMO winter tyres are overrated. I've done plenty of winter riding (snow, ice, that dirty brown stuff on the roads), and never even thought about putting knobbed tyres or studs on my bike.
That being said, I might get a pair of studded tyres myself, just in case I need to get somewhere in a hurry this winter. But I'll probably be doing most of my riding on slicks.
