Howzit goin!
Im desperate for a road bike. Would prefer aluminium but would be fine with 531.

Either 58cm or 60 as im 6 ft.

my budget is pretty low, dont want to spend more than £50 on the frame, i know this is low, but my XC bike cycling comes first :lol:

Hey Dave, are you sure you want a 58 or 60cm frame? -I'm 6' and have just bought a 56cm Dynatech, thought it might be too small but it fits fine with a 13cm stem.. :)

At 6' I ride a 59 or 60 - I think thats a good starting point.
 
Maybe I'm deluding myself then...hmm.. :?
-I was reading an old article in cycling plus yesterday and they said a 56cm was fine for some 6' guy with 34'' inside leg.. With the help of a longish stem and saddle setback a fair bit mine 'seems' to fit..(?)

Not at all, if you're happy with the fit then it's fine.

Using 'traditional' sizing methods (inside leg * whatever it is) puts me on a 59. I find this size best. Have ridden 56s but find these put the bars too low.
