my modern wanted list. Going 1x10

XT RHS 10 speed shifter M780 bar mount.
Hope Mini's or similar with black inserts.
Lightly used 11-36 cassette (or range expanded one)
10sp chain
Narrow wide chain ring pref race face.

Have one of the "Clutch" XT-shadow long cage rear mech's and a new unused boxed Zee 10 speed shifter. You will need a new full length chain, speaking from experience. I have an XT Cassette, think it is 11 or 12 by 36 off memory? If you used a clutched rear mech, you wouldn't require a narrow/wide long toothed chainring.
