I’ve a fun project going on trying to build a budget big travel ‘enduro’ bike around a 26″ DH frame.
I had a pair of wheels with a 135mm x 12 rear hub but it seems spacing it out works for everything other than the rear mech so on the look out for a 150mm rear wheel or a pair set around lighter rims than the DH lumps I’m currently sporting.
A rear wheel only needs to be a black hub/rim combo – less fussy if it’s a pair. They need to be suitably straight enough to run tubeless though.
Just remember it’s a budget build so what unloved, no longer used historical relic do you have lurking in the back of your shed / garage / man cave that I could bring back to life in it’s intended purposes?
