WTB Momentum Hub ?

I have a nos WTB Momentum silver grease guard front hub, when did these first appear on the scene ?

Also, is it a good alternative to a M732 XT front hub, that might be supporting a suspension fork from time to time ?

Or should I look out for an M732 front hub to complement the M730 rear ?

Circa '95, I think. They're in the '95 catalogue, but not in the '97:

They're decent hubs. Front hubs don't have a hard life in general, and either one would do the job well. The Momentum has the advantage of a true Greaseguard system, cartridge bearings, and a slightly stiffer axle, but the XT is a fine hub as well.

Your call.

Incidentally, the front XT hub is the HB-M730. The FH-M732 was a rear Hyperglide hub, and the FH-M730 was its Uniglide predecessor.

If you have a grease gun the WTB hubs (especially the front hubs) are great for riding in bad weather because they are so easy to service. On the rear hubs the GG feature applies only to the non-drive side, as the drive side is a standard shimano freehub.

Ok, that sorts it, WTB Momentum for front wheel and I will use the M732 XT hub for the rear wheel. Both are 36 hole and are silver in colour.

Thanks for the input guys.
