Would a USE sub fork 26" 100mm work with a 650b wheel?

I've a Lynskey pro 650b frame, just toying with the idea really, it's already set up with a set of RS Sids but as I've just acquired a sub fork I was wondering if it would work?

don't see why not then, i was concerned that you were going to bolt it on to a 26" frame with a 650 front wheel which would slacken the head angle.

You might find that the axle to crown length of the SUB is actually quite a bit shorter than a modern 650B frame designed for a 100mm fork. My 75mm travel SUBs are only 455mm axle to crown, unsagged, whereas a modern 650B White Bros Loop is 484mm, and around 490mm for a Fox. Can't find actual lengths anywhere for RockShox... That 30-35mm difference would steepen the head angle by approx 1.2 degrees.

The main thing to look out for, though, is clearance with the crown. At absolute full compression (i.e. with the spring backed right off or removed), I can get a 650B Rocket Ron (2.1") to foul the underside of the SUB crown by about 15mm on a 75mm travel fork. Unless I can guarantee that only around 60mm of the travel is ever going to be available I'm sticking to 26"/559 wheels on the SUB for the moment.

If yours is 100mm travel, it could be around 473mm. The extra length should help with frame geometry and crown clearance, so you should be OK, but best test it first.

All the best,
