Hi all, new to the forum.
I was helping my dad clear out his shed (untouched for about 30 years), inside was his old bike from when he was a kid (assuming late 60's early 70's). He never wanted to get rid of it but made the decision to take it to the dump.
I said i would take it, but instead have brought it to my house so that i can fully restore it as a gift for him on his Birthday in January.
I know nothing about bikes but pretty handy with stuff. This is where you come in. I need to find out what it is. I seem to recall a story that he won it in a competition. I have seen lots of sun bikes on google searches but cant find any like this. It looks like a cross between two bikes i have seen. A Raleigh Grand Prix and a Sun Snipe.
I have found a serial number on the back fork, it is ...180213... i hope you can all join me on this mission.
PS whats the best way to upload photos that are too big?
Steve
