WHY OH WHY

Just a niggle that i have with retrobike forum, why is it that every picture you want to add to the forum that is atken with a normal digital camera will not automatically be added without all the hassle of having to resize them!?
Im sure you would get a much more colourfull forum if you allowed larger pictures to be added straight from cameras, im sure its not just me that has this problem EVERY time surely????

guessing because we have to pay for server space so keeping peoples pictures to a sensible size stops this bill getting silly??

Just use a photobucket account fella, , never have any more problems then..

because pics from modern day digitals would be an overkill in size for both online viewing and storage! :roll:

It's not just the server space, its the data transfer when accessing (user loading pictures) the pictures that's the killer.

I've always thought the size, both in pixel x pixel, and the size as in "kb" is quite generous on RB.

You can always drop the quality on your camera too to reduce the initial size. But the best way is as suggested above, photobuckets and the likes, or even self hosting, many internet packages give you some webspace and a url address, you can use that too.
