.... buy yet another pair of forks this morning?

I was trawling eBay for much less exciting things and stumbled across a pair of Fox F100 RLCs with a blown oil seal. I put on a low bid (why?) and now for £62 they're mine!

I don't even have a frame to fit them on but am toying with the idea of selling the 1992 Prestige and buying a late 1990s frame that'll take a set of 100mm forks. Then I could use all the 9 speed kit I have and have a decent hard-tail and flog the rest of the retro parts  .

Hopefully they'll turn up this week.

I've think i'm about to join that club to. I pulled my first bid and put in a lot lower one so hoping some body will out bid me. Fingers crossed please let me lose the bid
idle clicking finger syndrome

Yep all sounds very familiar, got a shed full of parts and frames that don't quite match up

orange patriot frame . . . . check!

titanium flexstem . . . . check!

19 purchases on ebay in the last 2 months . . . . check!

Did you notice my for sale thread? I'm trying to balance out the new purchase with flogging some of the old! If I can raise the price I paid for the forks then I'll be happy.

....but then I'll have to start spending some more cash repairing them, but I'm off work at the end of the month for at least 3 weeks which saves me a whopping £255 in train fares! But after that time I won't be able to ride for 3 months :( which kind of makes it pointless buying a new pair of forks really......
