A month or so back I had a rogue bike part delivered to my address.
It certainly wasn't intended for me so I started making investigations into who was its rightful owner.
I traced the owner as a member on here and sent a PM to say I had something belonging to them.
I then sent the item off and awaited at the minimum a thank you when it had arrived, and idealy the postage costs back!
Didn't get either so chased the chap up for the postage (if he'd said thanks, I would have left it!).
Been told that he has asked the person who sold him the item to pay me and its now up to me to chase this up
It wasn't even a forum deal so who the hell am I supposed to do that? :?
Should have sold the bloody thing on ebay and given the money to charity

Some people ehh!

I remember the thread.
Not the decent thing to do really is it, after you spend the time and effort to reunite the item

That was your good deed for the day and you didnt even get a thankyou or any sort of appreciation...... thats terrible ! :x Manners cost nowt!!

arse.... name and shame ;) a lil thankyou goes a long way.... karma n all that 8)

well done on doing the right thing tho ;) theres alot of people who wouldnt have :D

I hate this sort of thing, i did a similar thing for someone on ebay and like yourself got no postage refunded and lame automated feedback!!!!

Feedback thread.
x2 on this idea - provided you are honest and factual I think this is the best way to put the information where it can be of most use to others.

It's a very poor response to a favour you really didn't have to provide!

Not in the spirit of retrobike at all.
