Yup. Contractor = day off, no money.
If I was on megabucks, I'd be lording up elsewhere but at least it means I get to ride the bike at lunchtime.

I was made redundant in mid-October :roll:
However, I am starting my own business (with a business partner) and we are opening on 4 January
So, technically I am off, but need to go in between Christmas and New Year to decorate the office, put furniture in etc.

good luck pickle!! 
i'm off right now but back in to work on the 24th at 6am, 25th at 6am for day shifts then 26th at 6pm and 27th at 6pm for nightshifts, the shifts are 12hours aswel
then when i finish that i get 4 days off but then that means i'm back in again on new years day at 6am

being a cycling proff teacher to 10 year olds at schools im sad to say they closed the schools for crimbo,so im off untill jan 7 hehehehe...you should see how long i get for summer holidays..... greatest job ever i tells ya..

I'm off right through, working for the government has its perks. Mind you I've served my time, 1987-1995 every Christmas and new year including night shift on both Christmas Eve, Day and hogmanay :roll:

i left work at 11.57am today and dont have to go back know til the 4th of jan cool beans.
im so glad i dont work in the bike shop anymore other wise id have been in up to christmas eve 5pm and back on the tues til 5.30pm then everday til new years eve and then back in on saturday the 2nd and i get paid proply now with a proper christmas bonus with no bull-sh1t from the mad arse boss
