I recently had the mis fortune to snap some pace rc31's, the steerer snapped inside the head tube giving me 40 stitches and a false tooth ... anyway this has, as you might image, put me off pace forks forever. But not off rigid forks on my ti hardtail. The problem i have now is sourcing some alternatives. I was kinda hoping to find somebody like surley who did one but apparently not. Anybody know anybody who makes a nice disk compatible rigis inch steerer fork???

The custom alternative has been looked into and dave yates can do me a steel one but it'd be 240 quid. Black Sheep will do me a ti one for 250 quid plus postage. I've never head back from groovy cycles yet.

Anybody got any flashes of inspiration?

Those skyde ones look interesting, anybody know who they are? where the ti comes from? Who produces them?

The poster I believe.

Hey Joe,

Checked the sent box and I did reply...nothing is for sure in this electronic age though

Steel forks in custom lenghts can be made in unicrown, segmented, or box crown styles, running from $225 - $285 dependant on style. A bit extra for custom paint.

Got quick pictorial on the box crown style on the blog right now for your viewing pleasure www.groovycycleworks.blogspot.com

Feel free to drop me another note, gonna work through some email tomorrow.

cheers,

rody
