White leather basket straps - useful for saddle bags, etc?

Came across these in a major clear out, they were originally for wicker hamper baskets (but never fitted so are brand new) - could they some how be used on a retro road bike, saddle bag straps or go through the saddle loops for holding *something*....?

They are 7" long and an inch across width ways.

£3 posted a pair or you can take the lot (6 pairs) for £13 posted the lot
