I have a set of White industries wheels in the for sale section but am considering keeping them as they have the lovely gold 217 rims and are far lighter than the hopes I have, only issue is there is play in the rear axle
. The front hub is perfect but the rear has around 3mm of sideways play and if I hold onto the freewheel and pull it the axle comes away from the hub :? I have seen a few other rear white ind hubs that have a grub screw but mine does not have this, can anyone identify the model of hub and point me in the direction of how to service it?
The brae rings feel very smooth it's as if the shims on the axle just need tightening up.
Any help much appreciated.
