So I need to replace my rear wheel. It's a 16 month old Deore rear hub built with an Alex TFS rim.
Was out riding today and broke a spoke, the rim has been a bit slightly buckled for ages not able to get it perfectly straight, the paws in the freehub make odd noises when I have been coasting and then put power through it and the bearings are a bit rumbly.
It get's a fair hiding under my 125kg's and my bike is used for everything from XC, AM and FR. I am still losing weight at the moment, but I'm also getting faster and my ideal weight is around 110kg's which I'm aiming for.
I have been looking at either an XT rear hub or Hope Pro 2. Is the Hope Pro 2 worth the extra?
Should I really go for 36 hole or 32 be enough?
I will be getting the wheel from CRC as bike shops in NZ are a complete rip off and they don't post Mavic rims to NZ, so was looking at Sunn rims, which one would be a good all round rim?
