Which Holdsworth is this?

Hi all,

Apologies for the lack of pictures right now, but I've just bought this WF Holdsworth. I will pop some more pictures up later, but in the meantime, are there any tell tale details that would help identify the frame?

Chromed forks and rear triangle are a nice feature!

Looks to me like it started off blue, the red is definitely a DIY job:

It looks mid 50s, but I would have expected a frame number under the bottom bracket. Does it have a number anywhere? Apart from the Nervex number.

Not from what I can see, but I will take a closer look in the week!

Could be a Holdsworthy Claud Butler 'Challenge' from the mid sixties or 'Olympic' from a bit later?
Have a gander at Kilgariff and see what you think..

Stripped it down this evening and removed some of the awful red paint and stickers. Forks are certainly stamped '29015' and the numbers under the BB seem to match (lots of paint make it harder to read than the forks!)

Kilgariff's serial number database suggests 1963, coupled with the Agrati dropouts this should make it a Holdsworth Hurricane :)

Just a quick update - i've managed to remove nearly all of the awful red paint now. My plan is to remove the rest then wet/dry what's left of the original paint underneath, protect the original chrome and give her a few coats of satin lacquer... Then I should have something that resembles a 60 year old bike :)
