Tazio MacRetro Rider Feedback View Jun 19, 2012 #7 You can pick up the Trek era Klein Pulse frames for cheap and they give a very fast handling light frame. Super tight handling as well.

H hamster Retro Wizard Feedback View Jun 19, 2012 #8 Late 1990's Alu Konas are also fast and nimble - they are also somewhat unloved and so great value. I bought my 1999 Cindercone for very little and it has made a great sub-21lb Singlespeed. The frame is lighter than an Explosif.

feetabix Retrobike Rider Jun 19, 2012 #9 Yeah, a cannondale too.....very thin walled so don't whack one with anything heavy, but light, stiff and responsive bikes!....visually pleasing too, with a pep fork and a downtube you could smuggle drugs in!...
