which clampon v brake boss for a 1993 Kilauea?

I'm afraid you might struggle to make any of those fit. The problem is that the Tange Concept top tube on the Kilauea is oval shaped and those are obviously all designed to clamp onto round tubes. The tube is 27 x 30mm, so I'm not sure how you could fiddle it - I guess you could file a 28.6 clamp down a bit on the top and bottom, but it still wouldn't be ideal.

I think your best plan would be to use the canti cable guide instead - there's an effective fiddle that works, and it has been written up a few times on here, including quite recently if you want to search for it. Or if you can't find the thread, maybe send a PM to Drapoon, who is the inventor.

I did manage to get a 28.6 one on mine- as long as you don't clamp it up too tight it's alright. That said using the canti guide looks a lot nicer so if you still have it, I'd go with Anthony's suggestion.

Just got a cable stop brazed on mine, since it needed a respray in any case. 8)

To use the original Kona cable clamp and run v-brakes, it can be done this way as pic shown below:-

I bodged it using an old downtube cable stop from a road bike on my explosif. Because this is steel it can conform to the shape more easily. Not the prettiest maybe but effective and retro.

Rear mech adgjuster threaded in works well if you have a tight noodle
