When is a Zaskar not a zaskar?

Is this really a Zaskar, looks to have a curved end cap to the top tube.

Looks curved to me - however I have a funny feeling did the newer ones go that way? Or am I imagining it?

That's a 2000 model year Zaskar. 2000 was the year where the Zaskar LE was the top of the line USA built frame and the Zaskar X model was also US built. The frame in the link is the Billet/Blue color offered in the 2000 model year.... they had was 7005 aluminum frame and were Taiwan built and had a curved top tube cap. Probably the least desired of all Zaskars to own/collect. The catalog picture below shows the other color...Roadrunner... that was offered in 2000.
