Wheel swap, what do I need to know? (especially rear wheel)

So I'm planning to swap out my spoked wheels for a set of mag wheels on my 96 pantera. I am wondering what I should be aware of, especially when moving the cassette from the current rear wheel to the new rear wheel? Right now I have Weinmann Zac 19 wheels, and will be putting spin carbon wheels on. The cassette is an sram 7.0. Will I need spacers or anything with the new wheels? Will i need to readjust the rear shift mechanism afterwards? I have the FR-5.2 tool and the chain whip to remove the cassette, and I hope that it's a simple swap, but the the more I think about it, the more I have no idea if the ZAK19 wheels are from the same era, and if the cassette will even fit on the spin wheel?

As long as the OLD is the same and the spin wheels have a shimano compatible free hub it should be a straight swap
