Hi All

I Need to change my bottom bracket on my Cannondale Phrophet the bottom bracket was fitted to a Truvativ Blaze set of cranks so I am presuming it is a Truvativ BB
I only have a botttom bracket tool for the old school square BB

Can anyone help me to let me know which tool I need to remove this BB

I will be fitting a XT hollow tech II crank M770/771 so i presume I will need a different tool for that BB

Any help is appricaited

You need a 8-notch tool.

Park Tools do one called the BBT-18, and yes you will need a different one for your new Shimano one (BBT-9 or BBT-19)

They're a b*gger to remove too IME - make sure you locate the tool securely as the BB shell is quite soft. Last one I removed required the services of a pair of 2ft Stilsons as notches were rounded from a botched installation.
