What should I do with these wheels?

Hi. As people may have spotted, I've been selling off some of my old MTB bits. I have a pair of wheels with LX hubs from circa 1991 with Araya CV7 rims. There is also a 7 speed LX cassette and original Shimano QRs attached.

The problem is, the rear rim is bent beyond repair and the front is straight. Should I sell the front wheel as is, or should I remove the rims and sell the hubs as a pair, and the cassette and front rim separately? - and bin the bent rim....

I'm really not sure what to do with them, so thoughts please.

Thanks. :)

To be honest, unless you can find someone local the postage would be twice or 3 times the value of the wheels as they are, but if you cut em down then the hubs will need an expensive rebuild. Rock and hard place! Try and find a new rear rim and swap it over and you'll increase your sellability no end!

I could do with a front, as i have a knackered one on my stock GT Tequesta '93 Model.

how much would you sell the front only for ?

Hi - not sure what it is worth. Make me an offer by PM and I'll let you know. Don't forget postage will be at least £10-15 though.

Mike
