i began taking apart my new forks the other day (first time working with forks), tipped um upside down and out came the oil :D what do i need to replace it? i was reading about it but just got confused, im engineer minded but couldnt get my head around it. im after cheap (motorcycle fork oil?). nothing too confusing guys

thats the sort of thing i was after, what s foaming though? is it seal swelling? is that oil seal and anodize and internal friendly? how do i know i need 7.5w? am i right in thinking the lower the number the softer the fork will feel generally? i.e. 5w softer than ten? less viscous? :)

Oil weight is determined by you fork make & model, your weight (and style of riding to some extent)

So find the instructions, tech manuals for the forks, weigh yourself and set them up.

the forks are spinner and they arent the best people to get information from, i cant find a manual for them but theyre the former rock shox company but i wouldnt be sure of what to buy, im not heavy but thrash my bike round, maybe use what rock shox use??? confused :?

Start with 7.5 and go from there. If they feel too stiff, get some 2.5 , and mix it to make 5 or whatever. If they're too bouncy, get some 15....
Or get some 15 and 2.5 and brew your own. A litre of each will last for years.
