That you don't need to wear roubaix bib-tights & jersey on the turbo-trainer, no matter how cold you think it is in the garage

I dont get the turbo trainer / spinning class thing - when you are out an about the airflow acts as cooling like on a cars radiator. Static turbo trainer and spinning classes just heat you up in a not very nice way

Correct - it was not a nice feeling :o In my defence it was my first ever session on a turbo trainer. Always shied away from such a torturous device in the past.

If you also decided it was your last turbo session you've learned two things today!

I learned that not all 7 speed freehubs are the same size.

And that if your leg hurts from a pratfall last week don't go riding, even if the sun is shining and it looks quite nice out and you really realty want to :(

If you lay a metal spatula on a ring on the cooker that is on it will be bloody hot when you go to pick it up.

I also learnt that cold water is a wonderful thing.

The two may be connected in some way.

You may also have learnt that a man's place is definitely not in the kitchen.

i dont know about fitness, but they strip the water out of you

I learned a similar thing about metal and heat sources a while back, I now have aloe vera plants growing on my kitchen wondow sill should I ever feel the need to re-learn such lessons. I have learned that once you've done the cold running water thing for the required 15 minutes, aloe vera works wonders.
