has anyone had something break but didnt have the heart to throw it away?
At a shop i worked at 12 years ago, a customer of ours came in with a Cook Bros Racing crank he had cross threaded and snapped the pedal end open because of the pressure.
it was obviously a write off, but i couldnt bin it, so it hung on the workshop wall for months.
one day i looked at it and decided to chop off the damaged end and tidy it up, then attack the back of the crank with a rounded file
the result...
a Cook Bros Racing Bottle opener (finished off nicely with a SS bolt and a self extracting cap that was lying around
it still gets used A LOT to this day

That is nice, beer and cycling....a match made in heaven 8)

I cannabelised a spinergy wheel and gave it to my friend mikkekim89......................he is an ideal recipient for broken crap in my opinion

Yeah, my 1992 XT rear wheel hub when my rim exploded, I wanted to keep it, as it had many memories, but the ex said too much of my crap around, so I had to bin it. I wish I had those hubs now !

Since being single I have learned wives and my stuff dont mix well, freedom lets me have what I want around me now.

My old Suntour hubs are sadly shot  but once I remove them from the rims & strip them they are going to get a few hours of polishing & I think they'll make nice candle stick holders :D

Sawed the head tube off an old Proflex, makes a great pen holder on my desk in the office.

Cannibal  did you eat the rest :?:

No, it is a work in progress as a wind chime with all the bits suspended from off cuts of gear and brake cable.
