Both will fit - just depends on the depth of your pockets!

Errr. No.

Really bad advice.

Splines on the 8g steel cassette are not deep enough.

You have 2 options
1) Buy the Ti 8g one.
2) Buy a 9spd Veloce one and respace it. So if you want to run 13-23 - buy 13-26 and don't fit the 26T.

You will also need a thin washer to fit between the smallest and next smallest sprockets.

If you fit the 8-speed steel cassette you will tear up the alloy spines in the freehub.

Campag introduced the deeper splines the year before they introduced 9-speed and the Ti cassette was the only 8-speed cassette that fitted it. After 9-speed came in and 8-speed became obsolete, it was possible to buy 8-speed conversion kits - 6 8 speed spacers and the thin metal one.

If you are desperate, the 10-speed to 9-speed shim that comes with Shimano 10-speed cassettes will just about fit. Any bike shop should have loads of these lying around as you don't use them very often.
