What brakes for an early 50's Holdsworth?

What brakes would you put on an old Holdsworth? I've got most other parts for it but will need to get some brakes and am not sure what a Holdsworth of that period would have used ( or indeed, how to track them down!)

Possibly these might look the part too...

Yes - look great. I may need to broaden the options too. I've got some old Universal brakes in the shed but have rejected that idea because they are a bit rough!

Ok that was easy - brakes sourced. We now have:

Chater Lea crankset
GB Brakeset
Brooks swallow saddle
GB bars with Milremo or GB Stem
A choice of high flange wheels

Not sure about gears yet.....someone suggested either sturmey archer 3 speed or even single speed wouldn't be radical but I'm going for a easy 5 speed set up - for now......I think.

Re:

agreed on the cyclo but hey what was smooth then ,simplex are probably the better of the two . early campagnolo would also fit but at a price....if you can find one . do not forget hurret .
