They ditched parallel push for XT? Cheapskates! Other than that they look alright I suppose. Prefer older XT (not the first ones mind) or my DX though...

I honestlly think the cants look like rebadged deore. The levers are good though. Just my thoughts

Damn...just bought some cheap Avids...well, they'll do until something else turns up :roll:
Got some XTR levers coming as well...don't say they are cr*p too :shock:

My old M600 brakes weren't parallel push, which made them lighter and much longer-lasting than the XT of the time. Fantastic brakes. Which will be going the way of eBay fairly soon...

Don't worry XTR Levers are excellent and in my opinion better than anything else including the mental priced Avid's

Phew.... my budget couldn't stretch to modern Ultimates, so I bought some SD7's for now http://tinyurl.com/57ucox .
Will be interesting to see how they are....cheap as...will they perform :?:

Had some of those in Silver, very good as were the Arch Rivals.

Might be wrong, but I reckon its the levers that make the biggest difference along with a decent set of cartridge pads (which those have in the Rim Wranglers)
