i have to say i am surprised, i assume that's why he had depression problems over the years etc.

a friend of mine was working as a mechanic a few years ago when obree was still competing at an international level, think it was one of the world champs events. they all travelled together, apparently they stopped at a shop somewhere and obree made a beeline for the topshelf left handed reading material,(i assumed lady orientated at the time) my mate said he was a nightmare but a damn good laugh!

Another +1 from me. Having read his book it was obvious that something had triggered his depression that wasn't told. Given his age when it started I'd wondered if he'd been sexually abused. Although its caused him a lifetime of pain I'm glad its nothing bad like that. Do hope he's found proper peace and can look back with pride and satisfaction at his immense achievements.
