Does anyone know if there are such things as brake hoods available to fit Weinmanns with lever extensions. I favoured these (even though they are not very sporty) due to some arthritis problems and have them fitted to several of my bikes. I find it difficult to envisage how hoods would fit but it would be nice to have a bit of soft padding though.

I have those Weinmann hoods shown in Ian's eBay link - they're currently installed on my old knockabout roadie, an 80s Peugeot Premiere, and are pretty good as a whole. They're more forgiving than metal. The only downside is the speed with which they accumulate grime.

These will also fit the most common style of Weinmann levers.
Available for around £10 here and here. Also sold in black for £10 posted and if you fancy a colour; A'ME apparently made them in pink, purple, lavender, turquoise, orange, red and yellow.
I also found them with extension levers installed, in which case you will obviously need to punch a hole in the side.
