Weinmann 730 brakes

Hi guys

I am re-fitting a pair of Weinmann 730 brakes to a restored Holdworth Signature. I need to replace the cables. Can I just use something like this?

Also, I have a Sakae SR Apex chainset that has a worn inner chainring. It looks pretty similar to a Campag Super Record chainset, are they interchangable?

Any stock cables should be fine - you will see a dramatic improvement in braking from modern cables. Just be careful to check that the pear ends fit snugly in the levers and can't slip out.

On chainrings: provided the bolts will fit through you should be fine. Older stuff (pre-indexing) all mixes and matches well.

What are the brakes like? Condition I mean. I have a display/storage unit of Weinmann spares. things like the capped nuts etc. all shiny, new and cheap.
