5am alarm call...why do I do this...creep around the house...shhhh...grab pre-packed rucksack...5.45am set off...clear roads...easy 2hrs to MadCowKevs...out with the bike and bits into Kev's motor...mmmm, Spin wheel for ME ...no sat-nav so its JonJon-nav...get to Arundel station...car park faff...lots of 'Hi's'...check out retro/modern mix...town centre faff and we're off...10mins in and kit change...beautiful weather...muddy trails...stunning scenery...happy me...TinTin puncture...Heathy down...lunch stop...grumpy cafe owner...tip top grub...more riding...back to cafe car park...MadCowKev and I say our goodbyes...roadie stylee back to station...change, pack, wash...bag up RetroTiffin for the boyz...pound the motorways...back to Kevs...bike car change...into the Vectra and home to Chez Pickle...home by 8.30pm...MrsGT has coffee and lasagne ready...best ride of my life
