I just bought a 1991 Zaskar
First of all, judging from the frame number, it was built in June '91, so, might it be a '92 model?
Secondly, it hasn't the typical GT rigid fork - Bologna it was called, wasn't it? It's a tange big fork like thing. Is it original?

Lots of 'm are spotted with mag21's but if you want to ride it rigid I have a black Bologna and flipflop stem

Thanks mate, but I'm gonna keep the bike as it is. I just wanted to know if the fork on my Zaskar is the original one or not....

Actually, i think the 1991 model had tange and the 1992 had bologna forks but I'm not sure. My bike is completely original and it seems unlikely that the owner might have changed the fork...

Yes, the bologna had horizontal dropouts..

Just found out that the bologna was introduced in 1992, so mine could be original
