Also a good quality friction thumbshifter.

Just after best function for the least money.

I know the straddle cables for the brakes are pretty hard to come by, so something in good condition would be higher priority than good brand/good looks.

For the thumbshifter, if there is anything shiny, silver or even grey. Black is not ideal, but beggars cant be choosers.

In terms of "thumbshifter" i meant exactly that, the type that goes on the handlebar. Perhaps I shouldve posted in the MTB section.
