Yes..you read correctly. I want a modern sram front road mech that i can poach the cage from. It is a long shot but maybe you have one with a busted clamp or some kind of damage that means the mech is soon on its way to the recyclers. Apex and rival look right for my project but if you have a force or red let me know as they may work.
The only requirement is that the cage is straight and not terribly worn from chain rub.
