Waiting for goods

Evening everyone, not sure if this is the right forum for this question...
How long is "too long" when waiting for goods bought from members on here please?
I don't wish to name anyone but I just wanted to canvas other members for your thoughts or advice around the general expectations when you trade. I paid the other member a month ago in full and so far I've had nothing in return other than promised delivery dates which have been and gone.
As a new member I don't wish to upset anyone but I'm a little worried to say the least.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Assuming its a uk to uk sale then a month is far too long, especially if promises have been made and broken. There's probably no need to name and shame although it's best to contact the mods of this site so that they can take steps against the individual, if you name then it always turns into a slanging match.

How did you pay - paypal? If so get a claim in now, then contact mods with all the details.

I paid by bank transfer as per the sellers request :facepalm:
I have contacted the mods re a "trading dispute" and I'm waiting to see what happens next.
I agree about the naming thing as I don't want or see the point of arguing....there's nothing to dispute really, I paid and have a bank statement to prove it and the goods have never been sent :?
I should have been more careful I guess
It's a shame as it puts you off future business with folk.

I, as I'm sure most others will, agree with Pete that a month is way too long unless by prior agreement. Have you sent any recent PM's and had/not had replies?

Hello, thanks for your reply....yes I have sent many PM's and emails, the first ones were answered with dates for delivery which then came and went and since then (last week) the chap has stopped replying.
I've even offered to fetch the goods (a bike) but that offer has had no response either.
Obviously I shall await an answer from the site mods and then see where to go from there :cry:

Thanks, he only has one feedback entry which appears to be positive. It seems that he has been a member on here for a number of years with many posts etc...that's why I've been so surprised by the situation so far...

Ok, having seen who the member is that you have bought from i can say that he will come back to you, he works long hours and also travels with work.
All i can say is keep emailing him as he will see them before PM's.
