I was planning to go to north weald on sunday but saw an online vidmdeo that put me off.
Its a bit like watching the tdf, you travel for miles and then its over in 10 seconds. N weald is a bit too far to justify that.
I believe these were not the last flights but a few more planned in oct.
Anyway, did you go and take any photos, if so, post please.

I went to Old Sarum yesterday.
It was amazing! Great atmosphere there (although we only just got there in time).
I'd already seen her display twice at Bournemouth this year, and the fly past at the opening of the Bomber Command Memorial in Lincoln a week or so ago, so it was more about being there than actually seeing the plane (if that makes any sense!?)
If there is one aircraft that makes me think of my childhood then it's the Vulcan, so I really wanted to see the farewell tour.
I think there will be at least 2 more flights this month, especially as the BBMF Lancaster got airborne again today.

And these are from the week before, at a talk by the last remaining member of the Dambusters crews, Johnny Johnson, and the Vulcan pilot who dropped the first British bombs of The Falklands war, Martin Withers.

I don't want to be all doom and gloom, but I haven't looked at planes the same way since Shoreham.
Nice that you got to meet a veteran though, God bless him!
I remember seeing the Vulcan years ago, Huge and noisy. I can think of some people like that!
