Venom 531 Cyclocross - early 90s?

Retro Guru
OK people, I have seven bike hooks and eight bikes - something has to give. Seeing as I am unlikely to enter a cyclocross race, and even less likely to finish one, how much do you think I should put this up for?

Brief specs

Frame & Forks: Venom Racing Cycles. (I don't know anything about the company but assume they're British). 531 frame, the chrome is in great condition but the paint hasn't fared so well; quite a few battle scars but no rust or dents. Really nice unicrown forks. I *think* it's a 54cm.

105 front hub on new black rim, s/s spokes
Sora rear hub on black rim, s/s spokes
XT rear mech
Custom front crankset: Sugino Mity 900 with Biopace rings (36/46 I think)
Mavic front mech
105 7-speed shifters/brake levers (recon'd)
Deda bars (modern)
No name seatpost (modern)
Ritchey saddle (modern)
Shimano (XT?) front cantis
Suntour 'Energiser' rear cantis
Some chain or other (new)
LX pedals

Any ideas?

Oh pants, sorry mods, I meant to put this in 'How Much' section but pressed the wrong button - a thousand apologies

Thanks for sharing in here all the same - nice frame there. Too small for me though, otherwise I could have been tempted! Mind you, I do remember Venom frames being sold in bike shops in the West Midlands about 15 years ago - don't know if they made their own or if one of the "usual suspects" on the local lightweight scene (principally, Sirius or Lee Cooper) did the work for them. Although unlike Sirius, I seem to recall both Columbus and Reynolds tubesets being offered by Venom.

If you google you will find some interesting history about venom frames and matt norman.

Generally extremely well regarded. I like mine a lot. It was built by venom for a rider sponsored by alf webb.

It is in the loft at the moment but due to be reborn with 10 speed campag and some tasty wheels for some retro racing!
