Value of 1999 Marin Rift Zone

Hello Everyone,

This is my 1999 Marin Rift Zone 15.5 owned from new, ridden (during 'drier' seasons only here on the South Downs) for 5-6 years before it was stripped down and stowed to save space.

As you can see from the pics the bike really is in VGC aside from some clearcoat hairline marks to the alu frame which appeared shortly after the bike was new and was apparently quite commonplace on this model at the time.

I recently made a start rebuilding/servicing the frameset, replacing new bearings in the rear swingarm and headset. The original wheelset and components have all been cleaned up ready with only new cable inner/outers and tyres needed to get the bike back to its former best. The forks were serviced just prior to the bike being put away.

I am now forced to sell the bike to make some room for a new steed – if I could I would keep it for another 21 yrs, but you know how it is I'm sure!

Would like to sell ASAP but am in need of a little guidance how much for if anyone can help??

PS not all components are pictured. Looking at collection only West Sussex

I have had a we of these Marin's and they don't go for huge money even in great condition but this is certainly at the better end of the market.

Whole bike in you are looking anywhere 100 - 200 I'd reckon, depending on the day. Worth more in parts? Almost certainly but if you are after a quick sale pop it up as-is and if you can pack it for posting you'll likely find someone happy to take it off your hands.

Very nice condition that, and i think if it was together, considering the size and condition, you would be looking at the £200+ mark.
