unusual seat post size..

struggling to get my hands on a 26.8 post [for a 94 GT] other than looking at USE/shim

is this an unusual size or or have a cocked up my measurements?

sorry, i should have elaborated.

i'm looking for something older and half decent, and the choice on ebay seems to include several roadie posts, a short syncros and a couple brand x stuff..

just generally not many mtb posts, and i thought that was unusual.

I don't know whether or not you've cocked up your measurements, but 26.8mm is a pretty common size. You'll find a selection here:
