Unusual Bike!

A friend of mine is looking after this at the moment. Had a quick ride round his yard on it, it’s not for me but very comfortable saddle. Reckons it is a very old frame. Some nice Campag bits on it too. Anyone seen anything like it?

It's a pedersen, devised around 1910.

Some early ones were made in Dursley, glos.
More recent ones in Copenhagen.
This is nicer than most modern ones, but not that old.

I have ridden a Dursley with a steering wheel instead of bars. It was tricky!

I've owned a few.
Including an early one with an exotic hub gear and loads of nickel plating, and some modern Danish ones.
Great fun in flattish Country
Very comfy.
And light for a roadster.

But the complicated frame design means adjustment are awkward and repairs fairly frequent.

And you'll be wearing a tweed safari suit before too long
