Unscrewing brake pivots

I want to take off the rear brake studs on my shiny kona,its a 2005 alloy model
Do both unscrew anti clockwise? :?

They both will screw out Anti-clockwise, but usually have thread locking compound on them, so can put up a bit of a fight!

and DONT use an adjustable spanner!
i think the proper size is 9mm?

Gave it a try and there no way they are coming out easily,the jaws of the spanner are beginning to spread :shock:

Basically its just aesthetics but i dont like ruining a perfectly good frame for nothing.
This sounds like a job for the LBS and i can sit and watch them struggle

I'd bung it in a vice . Although the vice at work isn't really bolted down
