I bought this frame recently of marktplaats.nl. Only saw some pics, but it looked interesting. I started a topic to see what frame it is: http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewto ... ?p=1297258

But still have no idea what it is. As it is adjusted for a Rohloff hub and I don't have the money for one at the moment, I will build it up as a Singlespeed.
Here are the first pics of it with parts from the shed:

mmm, I really like the look of that.

It'd be good for you to find out exactly what it is, as the lack of decals is somehow making it look unfinished, to me.

Really recognise that lug at the top of the seat tube, but can't place it at the moment...

nice build.. 8)

Lovely bike. It reminds me of a Gary Fisher. Certainly looks like an American design....though the seat tube lug does not look familiar. Those Tom Ritchey drop outs are ace. I assume its not actually one of his, though it could be, but may be a frame builder who has used his parts.
Ritcheys were usually brazed rather than welded though. Early Fishers were brazed but some I think later models were welded. The seat lug and reinforced collar meeting the seat stays says Fisher to me even if the lug looks a little unusual.

I doubt that.... I know that Fisher used - at least untill 1991 - their own 88mm bottom bracket's with shell...... (It's on my 87 Montare and 91 Mt Tam). ...... :?

No idea what it is but it looks characterful Bart!.....

Thanks mate! I might have something new to show on thursday......

Something allmost NOS and original....... :) I hope I can pick it up tomorrow...! :?

Could it be an early Sycip ?? Never seen one but they definitely used Ritchey drop outs.
The tubes actually look like sets used by Ritchey as well as the drop outs. Its that lug and the welding thats throwing me off. Could it be a Japanese made Ritchey (toyo) ? I think they had all joints lugged though, but I maybe wrong about that.
