Univega Alpina Pro- Front Suspension?

Retro Newbie
Has anyone tried to fit a suspension fork to a frame like this? It's quite a small frame (about 17") and I'm concerned that it will increase the angle of the fork to a point that adversely affects the riding position. I thought I'd post a picture of the bike in question as I don't see any around (I have owned it since new).
Many thanks

I did and sure it won't feel as tight as with the orig forks but it sure is more comfy, I would recommend it. See the thread below for my univega.

Nice to see another Univega on here :P

I put a set of sus forks on my Univega 506 and it was fine handling wise and comfy. I swapped out to some rigid forks after a while as I was using it as a commuter and it did feel a bit more responsive. Depends what you're after I guess. I'd say try some on there and see what you think.

Thank you both for your advice - I expect a fork with 80mm travel or less should be the thing to look for then?
