Comments suggest that they were trying higher gears, but wonder how it climbs with a "regular" bike on your back.

It just reminds me of the moment you get on a lot of group rides where the riders split into two categories.

The ones who will refuse to get off at any cost and spin away on the granny.

The ones who get off and push, and generally walk next to the guys on the bikes and have a chat with them.

I'm in group two.
