I've noticed LED backlit TV's are these the newest tech(bar 3D)? If anyone has saw any deals as well on 32/36" sets let us know too :D

The industry has a shedload of stock around at present, deals should be good. Try Richer Sounds and Amazon for a start.

you can get a 42" plasma for £399 in some deals.

I'm not a fan of LCD yet, still too many video latency issues on bigger screens.

Depends on what you want to watch through it too.

***EDIT***

Found this:

Im with LGF. Plasma is still the way forward. Especially if you do consider 3D. LCD cant actually do proper 3D as it cant reach the refresh rate necessary.

Cheers folks, its a TV for a back room so can't really go to big 36/37 at a push. Will keep scouting. :D

Looked at these myself and found that the edge lit devices generally get poor reviews from decent resources (AVforums). It was suggested that the backlit LED with sectional lighting are far better and don't suffer with the same problems, but are much more expensive.
If you are looking at edge lit because of price the Panasonics get better reviews that Samsung and LG and actually the Panny was the first LCD tv ever to get a recommeded from AVforums. They have been pro plasma until now.

Carl.

projection is the way forward!! (tv in front is a 32")

Brilliant for a freebee
