i guess it depends on how complcated the repair will be

Yea.....but it depends how much you want a Turner I guess.

I think though that if you shop around there are better ones out there.

I mean, I just picked up my LTS frame and forks for £40.

There are bargains to be had, especially that dont involve repair work

always wanted an xce or a stinger - just seen a K2 razorback on the same site which is cheaper and in much better condition. Its exactly the same as the stinger so may go for that one instead!!

cheers for the advice - always good to have a voice of reason

Always hard when you see something For Sale that you've always wanted, but its not quite right.........never know whether to go for it........ :?

But I'd say walking away is the best thing to do, and it sounds like you may have proved yourself right anyway

Hope it works out for you :D

K2 is not really that comparable to a Stinger so I wouldn't consider it at all, especially if you want a great ride (I have 3 Stinger frames).

the repair required for that XCE is actually relatively easy if you wanted to take a bet on it. In the worst case I can put you in touch with some people who may have spares.

Put it down to personal preference but I'd buy that over any LTS too ;)

does it look like just a case of pivots bolts and bearings to you or anything structural??

From the pictures on the site, although there is a bit of wear from a lack of grease, a new bushing kit which includes new grooved shafts will be sufficient.

If in doubt, send a copy of the pictures of the wear to Greg or DT at Turner Bikes and let them comment, or ask the question on the mtbr Turner forum.

I'd say its fine though.
